Non-straight people, were you tolerant of non-straights before you came out?

When i was in denial I also used to bad-mouth gay people because I new deep down inside i was gay too and I was completely ashamed of myself because I thought that it was wrong because I have been told that by so many people. But now I stand up for gay rights and accept who i am.
